Thank you everyone! [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
We enjoyed another fun and full day at Pipi.
Today we had a 'house' theme day and we read many books about different houses.
Then at craft time we made some of our own!
After lunch we had a special snack time!
Today is my last day at Pipi as I prepare to fly back to Sydney in June.
I will miss you all so very much!
Today I received a lovely gift from everyone as well as some flowers from a lovely student.
I have received many gifts and letters in the past week as well, I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you.
This past year has flown by and I cannot believe how fast it has gone.
But I am so thankful for all the good times we have been blessed to share during my time here.
I wish all the Pipi kids, families and friends the very best.
Take care everyone~
I hope to see you again!
(Please feel free to contact me if you're ever in Sydney!)
Thank you for all your love, I appreciate it very much.
See you~

After break time we read a story..

Everyone did a great job!
Today after lunch we had a special treat from Masayo's trip overseas.
We didn't forget to say 'Thank you, Masayo!'

Picnic at Tokiwa Park [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
This morning we went to Tokiwa Park for a picnic.
We took everything we needed for our Bread Day lunch and went for a drive.
We walked around the park, looking at all the beautiful flowers and pointing out all the birds and insects as we went.
Everyone enjoyed an energetic playtime at the big park!
All the running, jumping and skipping around made us very hungry!
After our lunch, we went for a walk and gave the carps (koi) some of our bread pieces.
Some of them were VERY big!
Then we walked back to the Pipi bus.
What a big day!
I'm so glad it didn't rain on us while we were outside.
We had a great time and hope you are all having a lovely week.
See you tomorrow~

Then we made colourful umbrellas!
Everyone did a lovely job decorating their umbrellas~
We enjoyed a fun playtime in the afternoon!
And to finish off today's post, Shie's birds' eye view of us getting ready to go home..
We hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends over the holidays!

2017-04-20 [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~~
This morning was cold so we warmed up with lots of singing and dancing!
Then we got on the bus for a shopping trip.
We took a shopping list and everyone helped to look for different items in the shop.
We stopped by a nearby park on the way back to Pipi, but it was too cold so we headed back to Pipi for a yummy lunch.
After lunch we did our workbooks and enjoyed a fun indoor playtime.
For our last storytime of the day we all sat on chairs and read a rhyming book.
I hope you're all having a great week.
See you again tomorrow~!

A musical morning~ [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
What a snowy day! It looked a lot like winter this morning in Asahikawa..
This morning we greeted each other using the microphone.
One by one the kids held the mic to say 'how are you' to their neighbour.
Then we all got a castanet each and clapped along to 'Miss Mary Mack' and 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'
At flashcard time we all took turns to look for the king hiding in the stack.
'Can you find the king?'
Last but not least..
Some photos from our afternoon playtime~~
See you again tomorrow!
Take care

Freezing! [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
It was such a cold day today, wasn't it?
We warmed up well at Pipi this morning with lots of singing and dancing.
For a colourful experiment we put paint and water together in plastic bags and shook it together.
We threw them outside into the snow to freeze!
After lunchtime the kids took their time brushing their teeth~
Then while some students stayed at Pipi enjoying a fun playtime, older students went on a bus trip to the ice skating rink outside Asahikawa Station.
We hope you all had an enjoyable day as well~
Keep warm and don't catch a cold!
See you again tomorrow~!

Little toads and little fish [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
This morning at Pipi we started with a road puzzle activity.
Everyone added a piece of the puzzle then called the next student to add to it, until everyone had a turn to make the road longer.
Some smiling faces from flashcard time.
After reading a story called 'Toad on the Road' we made cute toads from our monthly song. The younger students made fish, also from our song.
At playtime we enjoyed different activities as usual~
Then we had a playtime in the snow before going home~
Enjoy the rest of your day!
See you again tomorrow~

Warm woollen hats~ [Christie's Diary]
Hello everyone~
Today we started the day with an animal matching game.
Everyone got one card, then as each animal was called out we put the pairs together.
We read a winter story together then made a craft hat using cotton wool.
In the afternoon we practised our speeches for our upcoming presentation in March.
Afterwards, the kids put on their snowsuits for a snowy playtime in the backyard.
We're planning a bus drive to the snow tomorrow morning, so please wear your snowsuits
See you tomorrow!

Hello everyone~
Did you all have a good weekend after the Christmas Party?
Thank you to everyone who came and made it a fun event~
This morning at Pipi we re-decorated our tree after it was put back up in our classroom.
We added the ornaments everyone made at the party on Saturday.
Our Pipi kids LOVE reading.
After flashcard time, you can see students with books around the classroom, some asking teachers to read with them too :)
Today we all read another Christmas story before craft time.
We made our own Santa picture using different shapes, and cotton wool for his big beard.
Only six more sleeps til Christmas!
I hope you're all being good while you wait~ ;)
See you tomorrow, take care~
