Yummy, yummy strawberries! [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
Today we piled onto a big bus with mums and dads for our annual trip to a local farm for an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT strawberry buffet.
We could pick the strawberries ourselves straight from the plants. It was fun trying to find the biggest strawberry. Everyone ate so many strawberries. They were really yummy!
We later went to a big park for a picnic lunch.
Then it was playtime! We enjoyed lots of fun at the playground.
It was pretty hot today, so we decided to take off our shoes and splash in the water. It was really fun as well as very refreshing.
Hope you all enjoyed the day.
Take care

101 Dalmations [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
We started our morning off with a favourite game of the kids. The Pipi Tower!! Students did a great job of picking up the right block from some tricky clues. But after many blocks the tower tumbled down.
Our Pipi students always love to dance. We enjoyed a fun punching song and a nice rumba!!
We read a popular story today about 101 Dalmations. The students were very shocked to hear what was going to happen to the poor puppies, but were pleased when they were rescued!
For our craft we made our own dalmation puppy. We had many parts so we had to glue them on bit by bit.
Wonderful job everyone!
Hope you are all well.
Take care and see you soon.

Fish in the sea [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. We started our day off by checking some seeds that we had planted in pots. The seeds look great so we decorated some new pots for them to grow.
We also sang a song that used different tools. We needed a hammer and a saw for our song.
The students really enjoyed a story about different animals and said "ouch!" when they touched the porcurpine.
For our craft today we made some fish to put in our ocean. We drew many different patterns on our fish to make them nice and colourful.
Some afternoon students had made some cute vegetables relaxing on their beach chairs.
Take care and see you on Father's Day!

Seashells [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
Today we talked about the sea and the beach. We drew a picture on the board of things that we can see at the beach. After reading a story about going to the seashore, we were ready to do our craft.
We made some very colourful shells. The kids could decorate their shells anyway they wished. Some shells had hearts, others had stripes. But they all had different patterns.
We also sang our monthly song about 3 little ducks. Great job everyone!
Take care and see you soon.

Seeds! [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
It was really hot today. We stayed cooled at Pipi by blowing up our small pool and cooling our feet in it. Very refreshing! We also gave our small garden some much needed water. And it was fun to get a little splashed!!
Every month we change our flashcards. The students practiced some new flashcards today. They had to find the card which was opposite. All did a great job!
We also planted some more seeds today. But this time we didn't plant them in the garden we made our own pots. Kids did a great job at decorating their pots then we put two little seeds inside.
Fingers cross that they grow!
Hope you are all well.
Take care in the heat.

Summer games [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm loving this beautiful summer day. Time to get out the shorts and sandals!
This morning we compared our bruises and scratches. We called the "ambulance" that brought the doctor to fix our injuries!!
We enjoyed a favourite song of the kids and used fruits instead of body parts to make it funny.
For flashcards today I had some help. Kids did a great job saying the flashcards to the other students. Thanks for helping everyone.
Later we went outside to give our thirsty garden a drink.
Then went in the backyard to prepare for our game. Kids helped to put sand in the box then we played a relay game to try and find the letters. Great job all!
The afternoon was enjoyed inside doing puzzles or playing with toys.
Take care
See you soon

Picnic day! [Narelle's Diary]
Good evening everyone.
Today was our annual picnic day. Although, the sun was shining it was quite windy and a bit cold, but we soon warmed ourselves up with same dancing and singing. The kids did a great job at saying the names of flashcards to show their family members some of the English words they know.
We made a pair of binoculars today for a craft. But we needed our binoculars for our treasure hunt. Each student had a list of ten things that they had to find. It was really fun trying to find all of things on the list.
Everyone brought a picnic lunch. We all enjoyed our lunch together and also some snacks. After lunch was a very fun playtime. The kids loved climbing up and down the big jungle gym.
We did our very own obstacle course and had to freeze when the music stopped. Even if we were on the balance beams. Afterwards, we went for a long walk to explore the rest of the park. We found a really big oval and the kids just loved running as fast as they could.
Here are some photos to show you our day!
I'm sure that everyone will sleep very well tonight. We enjoyed a lovely day outside with our Pipi students and mums, grandmas and dads.
Thank you all for coming.
Take care and see you soon

Saturday Fun [Narelle's Diary]
Sorry!!!! I pressed the wrong the button. Here are some photos!! ごめんね!!
Good afternoon,
I can't believe how cold it has become. We kept nice and warm inside Pipi today.
The day started off with morning greetings from all over the world. We then took a vote about whether we should do our workbooks or a craft in the morning. Surprisingly, the workbooks won. Some did their workbooks while others read our monthly book. Then we swapped. Afterwards we made some lovely tulips out of origami paper. Some were easy to make, others were difficult. But all did a great job.
We also enjoyed some singing and trying to guess what notes were being played on the piano. Although, some of the students had to help the teacher!!! Thanks Mr. E.
I love how kids make up their own games. At playtime the kids had lots of fun trying to throw the toys over our line of flags. Many had good throws and great at catching too.
At flashcard time, kids were very surprised to see their faces stuck to the cards!!
Just pictures from our inside play afternoon.
Take care everyone

Jam drops [Narelle's Diary]
Good afternoon everyone,
This morning at Pipi everybody put on their smocks. What were we going to do? Painting or cooking???
We decided that we were going to do cooking. So we wrote ingredients on the blackboard and used paper for our ingredients. To get sugar, we ripped up paper in tiny pieces and put them in the bowl. Yellow paper for butter and brown for vanilla. We added all of our ingredients.....
.... and stirred.
But these cookies weren't very yummy or even edible. We went upstairs to make some real cookies!!!! The kids were very excited. Everyone had a turn at putting in ingredients, mixing and stirring. We made biscuit shapes and put jam on top.
They were very yummy!!!!!
We also read our new story for next month about Spring.
We did some singing and tried to guess what the notes were. The kids know them well.
It has been a great start to our new school year. I hope you all enjoy you Golden Week holiday.
Take care and see you soon.

Good afternoon,
I'm sure you are all enjoying this beautiful spring day. We most certainly did. We started the morning off with some flashcards. The kids did a great job at choosing the correct card.
We then made a yummy craft for this beautiful sunny day. An ice-cream. But first we had to buy our ice-creams then we could choose any flavour we like. We also added a nice chocolate stick. Yum, yum!
In the afternoon we went for a lovely walk to the park. The snow had all melted and there were no puddles. We had lots of fun.
Enjoy your spring day.
Take care
